He is recognized for commitment to excellence, drive and performance. He is fluent in English, French and Russian and is an effective cross-cultural/functional communicator. He has worked in a broad spectrum of petroleum engineering disciplines and able to flourish in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. His work experience includes working with organisations such as Weatherford, Weatherford International and Schlumberger. In his roles he has been responsible for and gained expertise in the fields of Petroleum Geology, Reservoir Engineering, Production Management, Well Performance Evaluation, Reviews & Economic Analysis, Leadership and Project Management of offshore/onshore Operations for petrogeochemical projects, production optimization, leading and supporting bids and tenders, stakeholder management, managing health and safety and overseeing and executing on cost optimization strategies.
Gervais has completed a Meng (Petroleum Engineering) in Russia (St Petersburg State Mining University) and various relevant trainings and certifications in drilling services and management including Applied Project Management and Microsoft Project (SAIT Polytechnic Institute, Calgary), Drilling Rig Training Program, Certificate (Calgary Catholic Immigration Society, AB) and Schlumberger Training Center Airdrie (Canada)
